Default Starting issues! Please Help!

Hey, guys,
I have a 1991 f150 xlt lariat with the 4.9L, inline 6. I had it jumped by a newer vehicle, and it melted the battery terminal (not the post). Ever since, the starter runs constantly, whether the key is on or not.
I have replace the solenoid, rebuilt the starter, and replaced the ignition switch, but it is still doing it.
I have unhooked the starter cable, and have to shift to neutral, set the e-brake, and turn on the ignition, then touch the starter cable to the solenoid to get the truck started (luckily I don't have to give it gas to do this).
Could somebody PLEASE tell me what could be wrong?
Thanks,
Fyrebird

After you replaced the solenoid, was it still sticking or did you have to turn the key first before it stuck?
