Default Starting issue

Hi. I have a 96 F 150 manual, 4.9. A few weeks ago it had trouble starting. Starter very slow, sounded like a dead battery. My battery was old so I replaced it. Truck started but the starter was still slow. Drove a little and it wouldn't start again. Once the starter cooled off it started. I changed the starter. Now it either starts fine or the starter goes slow, then normal and it starts. I put another new starter in but the symptoms didn't change at all. battery seems fine and is charging. I'm out of things to try!

Thanks

Sounds like a bad connection. Probably the ground.

A new ground cable fixed the same problem in my truck.
