Default starter help needed

hey y'all I'm working on my moms (soon to be mine) 1996 f150, it has a 302, 5.0, with an auto tranny,
The problem is that the starter won't turn over the motor, its not the solenoid on the fire wall because iv jumped that already

i took the starter to auto zone and they tested it and said it was good, I'm thinking that it is the solenoid on the starter, i know its getting power because I'm hearing a click then i jump the solenoid on the firewall,

is there any way i can just buy the solenoid that goes on the starter or do i have to buy a whole new starter? any help is greatly appreciated,

Thanks in advance

I believe that you can just buy the solenoid. Have you checked all of the ground wires. Also how old is your battery? Take your battery to autozone and have them load test it.

You're going to need to do a voltage drop test on your entire starting circuit. Start by getting a voltage meter and checking your battery right at the terminals the move to the solenoid on the firewall, say 12.6 at the batt and 12.5 at the solenoid so you have .1v loss now move to the starter. Lay under the truck and check voltage where the positive wire connects to the solenoid. Now have someone Attempt to crank the truck while you are checking. Voltage. Odds are you'll find your problem here. If no significant loss then replace the starter AND fender solenoid at the same time. While cranking, voltage can drop to around 10.5. Any lower and you have problems.
