Stalling/Gas/Acceleration Problems??
So today, I was driving happily along a side road going home from work. Then, I came to a 4-way stop. When I stopped, the battery gauge went way down and started wiggling. Then, when it was my turn to go, I pressed the gas, went slow across the intersection then BAM! The engine kicked in real quick and went normal speed again!
When I got into my neighborhood, I stopped out of curiousity, to see if it would do it again. The battery gauge wend down a little and I stayed there for about 30 seconds. Nothing happened. When I got up my driveway, same thing, battery gauge went down some but it didnt stall or anything.
Before this, I was having problems where, when I would start it up, it would shake a lot and the batter gauge would go back and forth until it got situated. (sometimes I would have to press the gas a little.) We replaced the spark plugs for that (about a week ago) and hat seemed to help with that issue.
But, this issue just popped up today! I have never "stalled" in the middle of an intersection. I was scared, even though it was a 4 way stop.
What could be causing this? Hope its not anything serious. I just need to make this truck last until Christmas! {Hopefully} getting a small car for Christmas! :-)
Thanks for the help!

If you've been reading this site at all you know the first step is to check for codes. It sounds like an idle issue. My guess would be fuel delivery. But pulling the codes will get you started and takes about 5 minuets. When you have them it will help to know more about the truck, year, engine, trans. And please take a minuet to find the definitions for your codes. If you put them in on Google they will pop up and it makes it easier to answer your questions.

Well heard nothing yet about codes so I'll point out why I say to start there. A symptom like that can be caused by a TPS sensor, IAC valve, Fuel pump, EGR system, fuel regulator , vacuum leak, alternator, bad ground, map sensor, O2 sensor, ignition control and a few others. The pcm tests most of these things.
