Default Squealing sound?

Hey everyone. My 91 4.9 makes a squealing sound. Doesn't sound like a belt squeal. It gets louder as I slow down and decreases as I press the gas. Not sure what it is but it sounds like it's coming from the belt area. Any ideas? I thought it could be a pulley but how do I test that?

My idler pully on my 92 did the same. Id check that first. Its a cheap fix $5 I think at AutoZone.

I have a 96 4.9 and it has belt squeal. Replaced the belt, still had it. Don't know why it does it but if I put a dab of dielectric grease on it it shuts it up for a week or so.

Do the 4.9s have a tensioner?

Tensioner and all of the pulleys are good on mine and I notice that MOST of the 4.9s on the road all have the same squeal.

My squeal was the smog pump and tensioner pully. I just bypassed my smog pump.

It actually sounds like it's coming from the tensioner pulley. What's weird it doesn't do it all the time. Just off and on. I can drive a whole day without it doing it but the next day it would. It quits when the gas is pressed.
