Default Squeaky altenator

My alternator is squeaky, can this be fixed without replacing the alternator? It looks fairly new.

Usually when they squeak, it's the bearings inside. So that would require a rebuild.
The idler and tensioner pulleys are usually right near the alternator though and are more likely to squeak. They go out way more often than alt. bearings. Make sure it's not one of those before you spend any money on the alternator

Does it sound like this?

If it does then take the alternator off and see if the pulley is loose. If it is then you need a new rotary and pulley.

No it doesn't sound like that. It sounds like a squeaky belt that usually goes away when it warms up, but doesn't go away.

Ok then you either need a new belt or a new tensioner. The belt may have stretched. Look at your belt tensioner while the truck is running. Is it smooth or kind of jumpy? If it's not smooth that's probably your culprit. How old is the belt?

Belt is new. Guy I bought it from had just removed the compressor and put one of those bypass pulley's in. The belt was replaced then. So it should be less than a year old.
