Default Spindle Nut - torque??

The spindle nut for the ‘92 looks different than many of the ones I’ve seen on videos - the inner gears/teeth in the nut are brittle and spin and the nut doesn’t want to tighten easily with much torque. Is this hand-tighten only? (Just finished greasing the outer bearing and trying to put this back together with new manual hubs)

Can you provide a picture? I don't recall teeth on the spindle nut. Is this 4WD?

This is one I apparently busted while tightening at one point (or it was broken before I took things apart, I’m not sure)

The one on the left is a brand new one ready to go in, the two pieces on the right/bottom are the busted one

Remember that screwy looking thing from my '89, the special 4-point spindle socket and all.

No longer have my shop manual, but offering from another forum "The right way to do it is spin the wheel while tightening the nut up to 70 (yes seventy) ft-lbs. then back the nut off 1/4 turn, then torque it to 20 ft-lbs." Seems in line with what I remember.

Also offering a video from that infamous YouTube university, can't vouch for it as not going to waste 30 minutes of my life -

We used to throw that style of hub nut away when doing a hub pack
Ford only used them for one or two years and quit using them too
Advise you do the same
The trucks would come in with loose wheel bearings way too often
