Default Speedometer and Odometer went out

Well crap.

Right when I fix one thing... Alright, so I just washed my truck in a nice summer day, started it up several times to move it around the driveway for better hosing angles and the speedometer and odometer worked fine. So when I'm done washing the old gal, I go to take her for a drive and low and behold, speedometer and odometer are dead at start-up and don't show any signs of coming back. (i.e. no flickering, gauge spike, nothing) Every other gauge was working fine. No voltage drop or anything. Brand new alternator/battery too.

Just wondering if there's any quick method of access. Also, I'm fairly new to electrical and wiring. Any input would be appreciated.

Check the speed sensor plug on the rear differential.

Unfortunately I don't have a volt meter, but the speed sensor is hooked up fine. However, my Rear ABS light has been on for some time. I seem to remember those having something to do with each other...

flick it.
in all seriousness flick the odometer area really good just once and it will usually pop back on. this is one of the sad reoccurring problems on some of these models. the wires will melt or get loose (IIRC) and when you flick it, it places the wires back how they should be until they get bumped again

Bump-ish Update: My radio also went out at the same time. Didn't notice it until later when I wanted some tunes. So any other ideas as to what would cause my speedometer, odometer AND radio to go out all at once?

Stupid idea probably check all your fuses under the hood.
