I need to replace my entire speedometer cable including the housing. I removed the cable that is currently installed. It seemed routed correctly and was neither too short nor too long. The length of the cable is 80"
The problem I'm having with finding a replacement is that the cables with the correct end are either 72" or 92" in length. Would a 92" cable be too long to replace an 80" cable, or does anyone know where I can get an 80" cable with the correct end pictured below?
Can't see that the 92-inch wouldn't work, just have to extend the routing to fit the extra 12 inches length without any excessive or extreme bends, nor presenting an extra snag hazard for any wayward ground debris.
Saw where RockAuto did have two offereings in the 80 inch lengths, but the end was definitely different.
Yeah, I can find 80" cables but nothing with the correct end.
I'll go with the 92 inch and see if I can route it correctly
