Wow ,I love finding a thread about what I did last weekend on my 93 except my problem wasn't they were too small but a little too bigFront doors say 6 1/2 but really the stock ones are about 6 1/4 so I was gonna add spacers shims etc and jury rig but finally talked myself into manning up and getting the sabresaw and metal blades out and making the holes a little bigger and feel a whole lot better about it..ya know the old any job doing is worth doing right...speakers should mounted well as the door sorta acts like a box doesn't it and we don't want those things loosening up or vibrating after we get those door panels back on and all..real nice when you're done and you dont have that blown speaker buzz noise that's sooooo irritating also cut off the factory plugs and soldered the wires on to the new speakers..real pain trying to hold the speaker and the wire and the soldering iron and solder by yourself but I want it to stay put right..
