i believe 94 302 automatic's were mass air from the factory.
if you want to do the conversion its requires a fair amount of parts, you wouldn't want to buy everything, new, just find a junk yard truck and get everything you need, i've got 4 of the things you'd need....stock air box, mass air meter, intake tube and distributor that i'm looking to get rid of (all inn great shape, i'm going drag racing so i don't need them) you will also need the complete engine harness and computer, tfi module, something else may be sliping me but you get the picture

Does a pully run the waterpump once the fan is gone...or do I go ele on that as well? I have to becareful cus my eyes are bigger then my belly...or wallet in this case.

I'm guessing these engine get plenty of intake sense CAI is not worth the cost. Is the exhaust worth the upgrade? I've not been a fan of CAT back because I believe the restriction starts right at the head. am I mis-guided in this thought? While on the subject, what would you say is the optium size for the exhaust 21/2" 3" they need some back pressure. I have no plans for a cam or any other internals for this engine 146K. Have thoughts of picking away at another engine for replacement later on.

yes you need the w/p pulley, if its a street vehicle i wouldn't go electric on the water pump, there not daily driver reliable

i'm with you on the exhaust, headers are the way to go if you want power, 2 1/2 is definitly good enough for these motors

What is your take on shrotys vis longtube?
And cross over is a question as the O2 is where the two pipes come together before the CAT. I'm thinking the CAT will be going, unless there is a high flow that won't take away from the headers. I can't see opening flow only to close it down somewhere down stream. And if I get rid of the smog pump no point in a CAT..
