Default Smog pump

Does anybody know what size belt I need to bypass the smog pump on my truck, I have a 95 with a 5.0 302, and if I bypass it can i just change the belt and leave the smog pump or do I need to do somethin else?

You can just remove the pulley and re rout the belt if you want with no negative effects. I recommend removing it all though, much more room under the hood to work on the engine.

I would tell you the size belt I used but my truck is a '90 with a different serpentine belt setup.

My engine seemed to like it. The main thing I noticed is the exhaust smells different than before, reminds me of a carbed engine. I also did an egr delete but any removal of emissions equipment should be performed at your own risk.

If you have AC I believe you just go with the non-AC belt. If you don't have AC you may need to find a fabric tape measure.

The number of the belt is the size (don't remember if it's inches or centimeters) so if you get close but need it a little bigger or smaller you can use the number as a reference.

There is one negative I noticed when I jyst rerouted on a 95 bronco 5.0 . The tensioner didnt work as well and I had issues with throwing a belt wen I was beating it off road. But I did notice a slight gain in power about the same as when I removed the ac. Another thing you could do is get the delete pulley for a 5.0 fox body.
