Here's a pic of my new truck. 1992 XLT Supercab. 4.9L, E4OD auto, 3.08 axle, 49,126 miles. Originally a Texas truck, before spending a few years in Georgia and Illinois. Luckily I brought it back down south to Arkansas.

Sharp. Is that a factory paint job? I don't recall seeing any with that combination. Read this caption:

I'm not sure if it's a factory paint job, but the color codes are YC and EP. I believe those are black and vermilion (red).

Default 1995 Eddie Bauer

Well I finally got feeling well enough to get out and enjoy the spring sun, and shoot the latest addition to my fleet, a 1995 Eddie Bauer, with 172,000 miles on it. One of my grandsons wanted to get a small car that is easy on fuel, and newer so (theoretically) will require less in maintenance and repairs. He got the truck from his dad, who got it from his dad (the other grandpa)

I needed wheels for a few months as I had surgery on my right foot, and all my vehicles have manual transmissions. Two years ago I had similar work done on my left foot, and was able to rig a way to operate the clutch, and let the right foot take care of brake and accelerator. This time I tried to use the same setup and use my left foot on the brake and gas, but when I tried it out before the surgery I just couldn't coordinate the left foot on those pedal well enough to safely drive. I looked into renting a car with an automatic for a few months, and the cost was too high. The kid wanted to sell the pickup, so I made an offer, a deal was made, and now it is mine.

The truck has 172,000 miles on it, starts and runs well, drives pretty good to. It needs front end work, probably ball joints. The accessory drive idler pulley needs replaced, not because the bearing is bad, but because the surface the belt rides on is failing. Has an exhaust leak, right side, sounds like where the manifold meets the head - when I get healed up, I'll fix it. Sounds like there is a bunch of junk in the heater fan box, and/or the fan cage is broken. But the a/c works great!

Supposedly the fuel pump is bad in the front tank, and under the bedliner is an access hole someone made once upon a time. Guess I'll find out later on. Meanwhile, rear tank only.

The grandkid did most of the body damage it has, although I am told his other grandpa owns a dent or two. I dunno, it doesn't keep it from getting to work and back, so I am not concerned.

It has electric windows, and they would go down, but needed help to go up, and the right one wouldn't stay all the way up. I fixed that the other day.

Needs the lock pawl for the driver's door lock.

And a good cleaning.

And later I'll fix the broken air dam and see if I can straighten the rear bumper a bit.

It will never look as sweet and the one that Clint has in Oregon though.

By the way, this isn't my first Ford.

I had a 1961 Falcon wagon, 6 cylinder, 3 speed column shift.

A 1965 Comet Caliente, back in the early 70's. Had a 289 with a 3 speed full syncro with a Hurst Mystery shifter.

And a 1970 Maverick, 6 cylinder, automatic..

And this 1948 8N. It has a Sherman over/under drive, gives it 12 forward and 3 reverse gears.
