My trans was rebuilt about 5 years ago. I just put a transgo valve body kit a few months ago and that made a big difference on the shifts, especially 1st to 2nd gear. No more lazy shifts.

Texas finally... I've driven from Florida to Georgia to Missouri back to Georgia and then all the way to Texas in my truck here... Just rolled 137,000 miles and the 4.9L still running like new...

Hey, Im not the only one who drives my truck everywhere. 137,000 miles is nothing on these trucks.

Nice! Just curious about how much did that cost?

Yeah usually theres no point in having a flatbed on a half ton but the old bed was rusty so my dad and I built it and threw it on there.

Thanks. I know, for an old half ton they are stout. Although I wouldn't recommend it, ive pulled over 10,000 lbs behind me on the interstate at 65 mph. Couldve gone faster, but not smart too, especially with no sway bars. It didn't sway a lot, but bucked bad. I had an 02 f250 4 door 4x4 behind me on a 2500lbs trailer. I only went about 20 miles though. But I constantly tow 4-7 lbs behind me on 50-600 mile trips. It does well too, can keep my speed up any hill at 70-75. It will have a hard time with 7,000 to 8,000 lbs up hill if it has a lot of air drag, but most things I tow are in an enclosed trailer, or cars and trucks on my car hauler, or my 22 ft pontoon boat.

New tires on the '91, took off the 30x9.50 Cooper Discoverer AT/3's and put on STT's in 31x10.50. Made quite a difference. I'll run the old tires on my 2wd so they are not going anywhere.
