Default Shifting Probs

I was just wondering if anyone could give me an idea what causes the shift problems i'm having. Basically if i'm at about 3/4 to full throttle my truck will not shift up i have to let off the gas first. If anyone can tell me what this might be i appreciate it.

The transmission is the 3 speed auto with overdrive.

Ahhh the E4OD....changing the fluid will help but it's a very good possibility that the solenoid pack is worn out in it which is very common. I don't like to use any bandaid additives but it's your prerogative....

I have a 91f 150-5.0-E4OD,it shifts from 1-2 ok then goes right to 3rd ,it kills the momentum,
Then once it OD it seems normal ,if I have to excellerate when the transmission shifts down
It's like it goes to neautral ,then take your foot off the gas pedal it returns to OD.
Can any one out there help me figure this out.
Thanks ,ajaxn
