shift knob
I stand corrected! I took my channel lock pliers and grabed it, twisted and got it spinning, pried it right off within 30 seconds, there are no tabs but there are teeth, I'll post pics at some point later. this is on a 91
very easy, pull off old ****, glue on new one.
Couple tips, drill pilot holes, dont start with the full sized bit and mark your depth with a piece of tape on the drill bits, use the lever as a guide for the depth.
Also it will be hard to push home the 8ball because of the air inside, thats ok, just keep pushing on it for like up to a minute until the air farts out and it goes all the way on, then it will be kind of vacuumed on, wipe up the glue that comes out and you should be done. I masking taped the ball on while it dried in case the glue pushed it off some, but I dont think it was really necessary.
Also only needed like one wrap of duct tape because the teeth arent as big as the tabs I have seen on other cars.
