i would replace your cap and flush it all out with water and a cleaner chemical and see if it helps. it looks like there is some corrosion on the cap too.

Yeah I think ima buy an aluminum cap and take it to work and give it a good 30 min flush with water and acetone or something then replace the coolant.

i've never heard of anyone using acetone.... lol i guess with it being mixed with the water first it wouldnt be all that corrosive on the inside of the radiator. but that sounds like a good plan. hit up your parts store first and look at the royalpurple coolant additive. if i remember right it has a rust inhibitor in it.

I take a shop class in school and we have used that combination before in air conditioning systems a lot sometimes even just the acetone. And I on my way to autozone anyway might as well check out that royal purple. Thanks man and btw nice truck!!

With the a/c systems we pour it in the top and it runs out the bottom on the high side and same with low any way, yeah I thought about it if I were Gunna run the truck with like drain 1/3 coolant then add some acetone and run it for a while then drain it all and full it with coolant and water. Or premixed whatever I go with when I do it. I figure it can't hurt it too ba?

Idk if my comment went through but I'll just terror it and shorten it up. Anyway drain 1/3 coolant and add acetone in its place, run it about 10 miles through the neiborhood and the drain I all and add some autozone pre mixed or something.

i would put less than a pint of acetone in total just incase. if youre gonna cycle it through the cooling system its going to come in contact with some non reinforced rubber hoses and some seals too. having it dilluded though will take most of the danger out for sure though. i'd give her a good thorough rinse before you add the coolant and close her up. and dont neglect your heater core either
