hmmm man i try to spray off my truck once a week to get all salt off. cant be too careful

I agree, I rinsed as often as possible this past winter since I didn't get a chance to undercoat it. I have a lot of body rust, but no real problems with the frame. I do have a lot of problems with hardware under the truck. Transmission crossmember bolts all had to be burned off when the clutch was changed.

I hear that you can use tar to undercoat cheaply, but haven't actually seen it done. The source I heard it from wasn't very reliable. Anyone have any experience with it?

Agreed.

I live in Maryland, they use liquid salt brine and salt here. After each snow storm I just run her down to the local car wash that has the "under carriage" option. then when I get home, I take the hose and spray her down a bit more. I barely have any rust, anywhere.

Lol I am so glad I live in good ole louisiana. No rust in sight on my truck and its a 1990. Although we did get some snow this winter(like 7 inches) they didn't do anything about it
