Default Rust Converters?

Anyone ever used a rust converter? And do they work well? And I don't mean POR-15, that's not a converter

I've got some rust on my truck I want to tackle in the near future, and the converters seem like a nice, easy way to avoid cutting the stuff completely out of my bedsides, and fenders. If it works, of course.

So what is everyone's opinions, and suggestions on which brands to look at

Basically it creates a chemical reaction that turns rust back into a stable metal, and seals it all in one step

From what I gather, just wire brush all the loose rust off, then clean it up with rubbing alcohol or the like, and then spray/roll on the converter. And don't put it on paint, so it'd be all about going through the backside of the fenders so it bonds better.

It won't bond to the rust as well, it would have to get through the paint to get to the rust. If you concerned, just sand off the paint from the outside haha you got options man

That's exactly what I'm looking to do on mine. Only with a rattle can paint job until I can do it up professional. But a rattle can with a lot of polish and clear coat to make it nice!
