yeah, thats true.

and i guess i should note, the local air force base comes to us for all their stuff too. we just sprayed down three massive international trucks including the boom.

I had a Rhino liner and scratched the hell out of it. I guess it's somewhat durable, but dragging heavy auto parts in and out of the bed took it right off. Could have been bad prep, I don't know. It was done already when I got the truck.

Do a search for Durabak. They have a scratch guard that is similar to Rhino or Linex material without the antislip agents. This creates a smoother finish that looks similar to paint.
