Default Removing front Differential

Hi!
I have a 1993 F150 5.0 extended cab 4x4. The front Differential is shot. I have read up on how to pull out the whole IFS, but would like to only replace the differental.
My question is, after I pull the right shaft and joint assembly from the slip yoke and stub shaft can I now just unbolt the differential from the left support arm and pull it free leaving the slip yoke and stub shaft attached? Or do I have to remove the slip yoke and stub as well?

Thanks for any help

you have to pull both sides of the axle completely apart.

or you can pull out the entire drivers side of the TTB like this. but you will still have to take the drivers side apart to pull the housing off.

I thought the diff would come out when the drivers shaft is pulled and leave the pass side stubb shaft in. The entire ifs remains without the diff.

last time i tried that i couldnt get it to go in, and we had 3 guys working together to get it in, in the end we pulled the pass side apart. we spent more time fighting it then it took to pull it apart and put it back together.

its a pain in its self just getting the diff in with the u joint knuckle flopping around.
