Default Removing auto locking hub

I need to get the auto locking hub out and I am having an issue. I removed the cap and the snap ring that holds the hub in. It will not slide out. It does move, but it feels like it's hitting the groove where the snap ring goes.

Any tips? It's getting replaced with a manual locking hub, so the old one can get destroyed. I tried putting the screws back in and pulling on them, grabbing it with big pliers, hitting it. This does not want to come out!

Thanks for any help.

Turn the cap around and put 2 screws through it back into the hub, then get a screwdriver and pry between the cap and the hub.
