Default Recall!!

The recall is for the ign. switch and the check valve on the dual tank trucks. for all those in this catagory, check out the "fordowners" site and see if your truck is subject to the recall. Just go to the service page. Pull dn. the recall window type in your VIN and it will tell you if your truck has been serviced or not. Yrs. affected are '88-'96, so go check it out. Maybe get a free pump too!!

i think the notices would only be sent to the 1st owner. but it is an "open" recall, Safety issue, check the site.

I went to the website and found two for mine. Fuel pressure regulator and a speed control system modification? Looks like I will be taking my truck in. Not sure what the second one is for?

You can get with a service manager at a dealership and they can run your VIN number to see if yours has been serviced on the recall notice

Thanks for the heads up - I've got a '91 Lariat also, in the 5.0 variety. Although I changed the front pump last summer, the switch and valve will probably need some attention at some point. FWIW - I was able to rock the entire bed (short bed) up and off on one of the rear tires with out much trouble at all.

the second one is for your cruise control...spontaneous combustion of electrical system resulting in burning/explosion of your truck...
