Default Rebuilding Engine

ok, im about to start rebuilding my 5.0 engine from my 94 f150 and im going to use a 96 computer so i can have true FI instead of batch fired injection. i plan on using new pistons and rods, better valves and valve springs?, and shorty headers with xpipe high flo catalytic converter, and flowmasters and a cat back dual exhaust. all this has to be done before march of next year. so i want some opinions on what kind of parts to put in it. and if i have money left over i will put a good towing cam. btw, the truck is a 4x4. please voice your opinions. im starting this month.

You can't just use a '96 computer in your '94 because it isn't wired for it, '96 is OBDII and '94 is OBDI. If your truck is an automatic then you already have sequential but if it's a stick you do not. The easiest way to change to sequential on your '94 if it is a stick is to take the wiring harness, sensors and computer from a '94-'95 5.0 automatic truck.

Does your truck have a MAF sensor in the air intake ducting? If it does then it is sequential. '94-'95 5.0 automatics are OBDI sequential and '96 is OBDII.
