**** how hard can it be. And if I want to rebuild the whole thing what do I need just a overhaul rebuild kit?

People dumber than me do it every day. I bought the Haynes transmission manuals. You can read up on it to see what's involved. You need some special tools or you will have to make them. You will need the overhaul kit but you will also have to get any hard parts separately after you disassemble it and check everything. I still haven't tried yet, but I've got three transmissions to practice on.

there's something like 1100 parts in an E4OD if you include all the nuts and bolts. Hope you got alot of room to tag and organize things

Yes there are Haynes manuals specifically for transmissions. I have the Ford book and Chevy book. Lots of parts but if you're organized and have a large clean space then it doesn't look too bad.
