Default rear leaf springs for front??

im doin my solid front axle swap soon n i was wondering since i have to install leaf spring brackets already would i be able to use a rear leaf spring instead of ordering ones made for front?? im thinkin the only prob would be the spring rate since the front ends heavier but im only runnin the 4.9l soo is there a big difference still??? all options would help thanks

btw if i was going to do this it would be with a pro comp 6in leaf spring heavy duty i believe pro comps part number is 23411

yea seriously... plus i wouldn't call the 4.9l a "light" engine... crank shaft etc is longer and heavier.

Go over to Fullsizebronco.com, tons and tons of guys over there sas swaps. All the info you could ever want. Go to the sas forum flame free noob zone. They don't much care for noob questions in the regular forums.
