You need to replace the broken bracket ,get one from a salvage yard.
And it would be a good idea to replace the radius arm bushings.Check
the other side also,in case that side is starting to crack.

the bushings are not expensive, I replaced mine last year. Advance Auto Parts has them in stock.

Oh she's rusty alright. I doubt this beast has ever had a carwash, or I guess truck wash. Anyways, what's that bracket called? Outer radius arm bracket sounds good to me.

Just the radius arm bracket, just be sure to tell them passenger or driver side. Like others said, be sure to replace the bushing, they're cheap enough, might want to do both sides and while your there, hit em' with a wire brush and throw a coat of paint on em'. Will make em' last a bit longer.... (I like Dupli-color but, to each his own)

Me too! Ask for "Salt Rock Rust Metallic"!!! Might have to special order that. I can't help thinking the other side can't be that far behind. When it comes to this kinda stuff, I like to do pairs, in pairs. Like at least both both bushings anyway.

im planning on doing both sides, new the brackets are only $50, and bushings only $11. i gonna do the ball joints and wheel bearings while im in there too, since theyre shot and i was planning on doing them in the spring anyways. this truck is a hunk of junk. i dont think anyone has ever done a wink of routine maintenance on this beast, or any maintenance in the past 10 years!!! got the truck from a buddy for 650, but havent paid him fully yet, already spent 400 on parts in the past 2 weeksn definately not gonna give him 650 for it. my buddy was so lazy, the stereo was wired up wrong and he couldnt even take the time to fix it, 2 minutes, and the fuel pumps didnt shut off, so instead of trying to fix it, he just disconnected the neg terminal everytime he turned it off. it even had a chevy alternator thrown in cuz he was too cheap to get the right one.
