Should save yourself the trouble and just buy the wireing adapter. Match the colors and plug it into the stock harness

Yep, easier and you're not making life difficult for the next guy that owns the truck. Do it right and life is much simpler.

alright man. on that truck the 12v constant is the LIGHT GREEN/YELLOW wire. this wire goes to the 12v constant/memory wire on the new HU. the ACC wire you need is YELLOW/BLACK. Test both wires before connecting. the GREEN/YELLOW wire should have full 12v all the time (fuse #8 its a 15 amp fuse) the YELLOW/BLACK wire should show power when the key is in the ACC. position and also power when the truck is running. no power when the key is out and no power when in start position. (fuse #11 also a 15amp fuse)

Like the other guys said, its much easier to buy the aftermarket adapter harneses and saves alot of time.

hope this helps you out man, let me kow if you need any other wires located.

The factory harness plugs are sold by Metra as 71-1770 if you want to repair the original harness.
