Usaually you need to use a key on both sides. 2 long strips of metal no more than an inch wide should do it

Take the trim piece off and everything should come with it. My old aftermarket radio wasn't bolted to anything behind the dash, and my new one isn't either. My trim piece came off easy, starting at the bottom left. It just clips in

dash bezel will pull off then you can remove mounting kit . it may be screwed to the kit.

Drop your glove box, reach behind the radio and push. It should pop right out..

I swapped my after market head units a few months ago. Lost the keys so i just pried them out with 2 small flat blade screwdrivers, the Head unit just popped right out in a few seconds.

It really depends on the year of truck. A lot of early 90's don't have a dash piece to snap off. The glove box trick will work if its really stuck in the dash. Try the small flat-head screwdriver trick first and when you insert them, push the handle in towards the radio so that the blades would be prying out toward the doors.

I used a small screwdriver and a pocket knife to get mine out when I lost the keys. You could also hit up a local audio shop if you can't get it out for whatever reason. They may do it for free, or like $5. Takes all of 15 seconds.
