quick f250 spring question
i have a 1993 f150 4x4. i was wondering what is the newest year of f250 spring i can use? is it up to '97? i know there is a gap of years that our trucks cant use. just curious. thanks guys!
yeah i heard the same thing about the 6" lift with the new springs. if i were to use a f250 4x4 spring, would it fit ok? i dont mind it giving a little more lift in the front, i can always toss a spacer on the back axel to even out the stance.
Yep just get F250 word of note. A light duty F250 is same as Hd F150 in most books
Go F350 at least . And they dont sag much
And don't waist time on used ones. Even at 5 years the stock coils r weakening. Not alone 20 years

i've got used ones on my truck now. i'm fairly certain i'm gonna wait and just get new ones. unless my tires start to rub again.

Kinda. The HD F150 got the springs of the F250, but not the frame. But thought all that wasn't until 97?
F350 has all leafs.
You can do a solid axle swap, but you are fabbing up mounting points for everything which would be more trouble than it's worth. All you get from it is cheaper/easier ability to suspension lift the truck. Only limiting factor on solid axle is steering shaft.
I got brand new f250 springs on mine. Can go used buuut, seems like something I wouldn't do if I could avoid it. Going used, you lose all those years and miles that you would otherwise have from getting sagging and tired spring.
When buying new you'll see 3 kinds. 1 is a "Heavy Duty", one is "Variable Rate", and dunno last. Probably the lightest side of the three.
