Default Question

Hi. I have a 1990 V8, we have been putting water in the radiator all summer. I asked my hubby to drain the water out and change it over to antifreeze before the temp dropped (I dont know where the drain hose is). He didn't. The radiator & block froze. He put the heater dipstick in the engine, the temp outside warmed , everything thawed. I went to pour the coolant in today, and its pouring out from under the block. Is this a heater hose issue or the freeze plugs?

There is a freeze plug at the engine mount at the bottom of your V8, so that makes sense you would see the coolant pour out there. You will more than likely need to pull the engine out, replace all the freeze plugs and pray nothing else is been damaged or cracked from the freeze. Good luck!

P.S., fix your original leak while you at it lol.
