Default Engine mounts
Is there different frame brackets for the 4.9 and the 5.0/5.8 motors? Asking because I am considering the purchase of a truck with a tired 4.9 and I plan to pull it and drop in an 8 cyl.

All of the engine mounts and brackets are different

-6 has its own bracket and bolts directly to the xmember, 302\351 use frame brackets bolted to the back of the xmember.

I thought the brackets were different for the 302/351?

They are, the -6 has basically u shaped brackets that bolt to the main xmember, the 351\302 have brackets that bolt to the back of the main xmember.
