If you want more pep, do the timing bump. A true dual exhaust with long tube headers, get more air in the engine with a k&N air filter and drill a couple holes in the bottom of the box(what I did). Electric radiator fans will do a lot. Good oil. Seafoam every 10-15 thousand miles. And run some injector and fuel system cleaner every 3rd or 4th fill up. Does wonders for me.
You'd be surprised how far a little TLC will go on these engines. When I bought my truck it wouldn't spin my old 31's. But I've don't nothing but engine oil flush when I bought it, seafoam, and stuff I mentioned above since I've owned it. And it will spin my 33's all day long with no performance mods.

IMO, underdrive pulleys are an absolute waste of money … here's why…
because, yes, you take 2 lbs of rotating mass off the drive line but in the BIG PICTURE it's a drop-in-the-bucket. Think about what & how many more rotating objects are between the rubber on the road and the injectors…tires/wheels, brake rotors, axles, drive shaft, crank cases, transmission gears, crank shaft, rods & pistons…
so in the big big big picture (also known as reality) you are reducing your rotating mass by a tiny percentage. The time & money is better spent in other areas.

I'm curious to know if your truck is running a stock cam or not to be honest.
get an aftermarket intake if you'd like to see some gains.
just remember all we have is a basic air pump... more air in + more air out = more power.
