Default Problems starting? Help please?

I am having problems starting my truck. its a 95' f150 xl, its got the 4.6 i6 and its a 5 speed manual. i replaced the...fuel pump (junk yard), fuel filter, distributor, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, fuel tank switch(all new). i can hear the fuel pump engaging and fuel sprays from the check valve before the rail. it starts with starting fluid but dies once you stop spraying. im afraid its the injectors but i havnt checked the fuel pressure off the pump yet so either way its gona cost me something hefty...........any advice would help!!

I am also looking for a set of clear market/turn signal lights...to replace the orange ones. i am looking to spend roughly $35 shipped.....pm me!

Some parts are worth spending the extra dough to buy new, on my list, fuel pump is one of those worth the extra $$$
Did you clean the sock before putting it in? I'd check (could be wrong, I have been before) Fuel pressure regulator, could be something like a dry rotted vacuum fitting on it, or just a bad FPR. Check fuel pressure at the rail. That's all I can think of if you hear the pump running. Not being a smart *****, but is the tank switch set on the right tank? In all the madness, are you sure the tank isn't empty? I know it sounds like a smart remark, but I've overlooked much simpler issues. Hope ya get it straightened out soon

has the truck been sitting for a while?

It sounds like the injectors are bad, or a clogged fuel rail post regulator and pre injectors.

you are 1000000% SURE you hear the fuel pump kick on when you turn the key to the on position before you try to start the truck???

Check your timing...you could have your distributor out 180 degrees!

test your fuel injection relay with an ohm meter and a couple gator clips to the battery, or buy a new one $15 part.

Flow restricted by kinked hose after you put the tanks back up?

A couple months ago my 5.0L didn't want to start. I checked spark and fuel pressure and had both. Wasn't throwing any engine codes or anything like that. It would not fire at all.

Eventually, I could barely get it to start, but I had to hold the throttle on the floor for it to fire, and when it did, it ran horrible, if at all. Finally after fighting this a few days, the truck died while it was running and I noticed the check engine light was on. The code showed that the engine coolant temperature sensor had gone bad, located right above the thermostat. It took two days of messing with it for it to show this code.

$18 bucks later the truck was running like a dream again, all because of an inexpensive sensor. Might be something worth trying.
