My own experience with 302 its good . all depend how you take care of the engine and regular tune up. ( oils, wires, plugs etc.) I have a 93 regular cab, still original engine, still nice and cleane, not oil leaks from valve covers. the only leaks i have on engine are the front and rear main seals. but not much .it runs great normal oil preasure and engine temp. I should get to 376,000 miles by saturday and i get 16 MPG city. for me 302 its a great engine.
