good topic...id like to know as well..is yours an xlt? i think all xlt have the wiring in them already but ford didn't add the mirrors to them..

i want to do this to my 92 xlt...i would think the wiring would be there just to plug and play except for adding the switch to control them???

lol funny story, this is an old thread, but in that time i rolled the f150 and bought a 97 f250 (same body style) that already had power mirrors, so i guess thats a way to get power mirrors

black ice, then i hit the guard rail just right which made me roll. my bumper was a tad to high so i just road up on the rail and it flipped me on my roof.

i haven't taken my door panels off on my f250 to see how the wiring is for the mirrors, but i dont think its all there on a truck that dont have power mirrors already.

I think I saw someone say in xlt trucks the wiring is there for power mirrors from the factory? seems like a waste of wire if they arent putting power mirrors in... you know they wouldnt do that today, but thats another topic... is it true that the wiring is there on xlt trucks? I just happen to have one of those, not that I need power mirrors, but would be nice to have. :-)

exactly..y wouldn't they just put the power mirrors in the xlt's...i also thought they all had power mirrors...

i think that the wiring is there all we have to do is hook them up and find the switch to control them..

i would still think ford left all the wiring for power mirrors inside the trucks..someone should open up the doors and check..haha..

if i get to do it..ill check to see if i have wires that can run power mirrors and let you guys know..but if someone beats me to it..lmk..thanks

also..i have the chance of getting power mirrors used but ok condition factory not repro for 50$..sound decent? haven't offered the guy anything yet...if i get them all i would need would be the control to them right?
