Default Possible Transmission Problem

1996 F150 inline_6 5_speed

From a stop; I put shifter in 1st gear, begin to depress the clutch, add fuel, there is a small pop and a jolt, the truck lurches into 1st.

What could this be? Please reply. Thanks in advance.

(Other gears work fine, engine runs strong. <90,000 miles)

Is it coming from inside the transmission or is it coming from the U-Joints on the Drive Shaft? Is your transmission mount worn out? Is the pop coming from the floor board? Can you feel it in the stick?
