Default pitman arm removal

Is there a special tool for removing the pitman arm from the box or do I just use a pickle fork? I've been trying to get the damn thing out with all the heat, wd40, and hammering it can take for 3 hours now, and it hasn't budged.

Just the other day, I used a press to get one off a chevy steering box, it was off in 30sec.

Pitman arm removal tool, but there is no reason to remove it unless you're changing the steering box.

Yeah, or changing the pitman arm seal. Which will be burnt to a crisp if you use the amount of heat I did to get it off.

When I removed mine, the puller by itself would not remove it. I broke two before giving up on that plan. Had to tighten it enough to apply pressure on the arm, then beat the arm into submission with a sledge. That got it off in a few minutes.
