Is this thing worth the money?

It looks to me like a piece of plastic with two wires that arent connected to anything. Its not hard to increase timing. You loosen a half inch bolt on the distributor and turn it. But your spark plugs need to be overgapped. Ive overgapped but havent timed it yet. And it helps. So do what i did. Im thinking i got around 3-5 more hp by feel.
