Cool Performance chip/headers

Ok in short, I have a 1989 F150, with the block out of a 94 Mustang GT 5.0 HO in it. I am looking at getting headers. Do I get 89 F159 headers or Mustang headers? (as the truck ones are 2x the price) Next I want to get a computer chip (I think I do) Have any of you had any luck with a brand? I found some on ebay for like 26 bucks. Will that help HP and milage? Any help Would be awesome guys!

You would need to get mustang headers if the engine came out of a mustang. I'm not sure about chips though.

Ok. I wasn't sure if they would hit the frame or something. It would be good to hear on that chip. They claim like 15hp and 3mpg.. I could use that

The chip is junk. If it really gave 15hp and 3mpg, then don't you think everyone would have one? All the chip is, is a resistor anyways.

I've never seen the point to a chip. Programmers and Tuners make sense to me though.

Don't trust Ebay chips. If spending $25 dollars more on making a car could make it gain 15hp, and 3 mpg, while keeping it reliable, the manufacturers would be doing it already.

I agree with the everyone on the chips. I did some checking on it myself and there just ain't the bang for the buck. Use the money on something like underdrives, cai, exhaust, electric fans, ect. Far as headers go I have mustang shorty headers on my truck motor. There are no clearance issues, with the Bassani y-pipe I am running. Hope this helps...
