Default Pcv valve?

Where exactly is the pcv valve located on a 96 f150 with a 5.8? I want too change it since I'm seeing it popping up everywhere on this site. So why not. Thanks.

Should be plugged into the passenger side rocker cover hiding under the upper intake - follow the rubber hose. That's where it is on the 5.0's anyway, so I'd assume it'll be there on the 5.8 as well.

Yep, same place. Be sure to get a Motorcraft unit.

Turn it in the hose to free it up before you try to pull it out. Same thing for spark plug wires and vacuum lines.

Take the Duralast unit back and get a Motorcraft PCV. Seriously man. There is really a difference.

Take some pliers and grip the hose (not too tightly) where it connects to the intake and twist it. It will snap loose and you should be able to remove the entire hose.

Try O'Reillys for a new MC PCV and insist on MC if they try to sell you anything else.

Not trying to sound pushy about it, just trying to help you avoid the headache that myself and others have experienced with non-MC PCVs.
