but doesnt the smallest dent show up in white?

Not really... White hides ALOT... even those minor surface scratches are barely visable with white paint.

If your gonna be muddin' white is the color I would suggest. Any other color is going to be ruined in a few runs in a bog or a few trips in the back woods. White will still catch a few scratches but it will hide it alot better then any other color.

im painting mine black and im scared a bit cause black shows every tiny dent nick scratch and everything plus its really hard to keep clean

I think black looks bada*** but I've seen people with Navy blue and chrome color scheme. That looks great.

Also, if you dont clean it right you get those annoying swirl marks in the paint.

If I could affored to get oil slick black I would think about doing that to... I love gloss black paint that looks like you can swim in it.
