Painting my 89 f150 I want to go with a matte black, now decent paint is 120 bucks a gal. Figure I'll need at least 2 gallons so about 250 bucks there, or go with a vinyl wrap and a vinyl wrap from 3M is about 60 bucks and comes in 48" x 60" rolls and suppose to last 5 years with minimum care, 10 years with care opinions?!

I only used one quart of black for a base coat then one gallon of blue. I would take paint over the vinyl, don't have to worry about bubbles and the vinyl unsticking.

I painted my truck and only used a gallon of paint total, I work with vinyl every day, you don't want to wrap your entire truck , it
Fades as gets chalky looking, it cracks peels bubbles, it will give you trouble around moldings and and windows, you will be happier with paint IMO
