engine smells very / strong burns eyes when idling. took it to the dealer they put it on machine, come up with code ( 311) mlp sensor. i bought after market part ,still does the same thing ever now and then! took it back to dealer they said the pins in the plud came loose ( werent making contact!!) some times it wont start it just cranks, shoot it with either starts right up! then the service engine light is on!! if i take off in drive its like i have a stall converter on it!put it in 2nd it takes right off! i have replaced the following//// oxygen senor/speed senor/neutral sw/ tp senor/idle air vlv/plc tmp senor/egr valve. HOW CAN I MAKE THE PINS IN THE MLP SENOR STAY PUSHED IN??? thank god me & my brothers are pretty good i can fix it myself IF I KNOW WHAT THE TRICK IS!!!

 

Splice in a new/junk yard socket for the map sensor plug? Or try to shove the wires in where they need to be and duct tape the wires together so they stay held in place.. try some silicone on the outside of the socket to keep moisture out and maybe help hold them in?
