Could be the oil pressure sending unit/sensor. Very easy to change out. Easily accessible under the engine. Buy a new one for around $12, unscrew the old one, pop the wire off the back, plug that wire onto the new one, wrap a turn or two of teflon tape around the threads, screw it into the engine.

1) Good news scenario: Could be just the sensor.
2) Bad new scenario: Bearings could have some wear and starting to lose a bit of pressure. Doesn't mean your engine is toast, just that it doesn't meet the pressure your sensor likes to see.

Hopefully it's just good news.

To me, it was easier using a pair of channel locks to screw it in there. I removed the old one with channel locks. Put two small loops of teflon tape on the threads, and used the channel locks to screw it into the engine. Took only a few seconds.

Maybe the gauge is going bad or like qdeezie said "maybe your bearings are wearing out".

I've had vehicles and friends vehicles in the past that had no oil pressure at idle but had a little when the rpm's increase. The motors ran for years that way.
