Default oil pan

So I got a small pin hole leak. What would you guys use to fix it if it.was.yours..and no, im not pulling the pan..96 f150 4x4 5l

That's what I did before. But still leaked. Would welding be q very bad idea?

uh i wouldn't try it unless you had full coverage lol. id be worried about catching something on fire, or messing up and punching an even bigger hole in the pan.

i dont really know honestly, its metal and it done right it should work.

Welding might make it worse, if the metal is thin where the rust is, you can try to solder the hole if it is accessible, or try to braze the hole, but soldering uses less heat.

I wouldnt weld on it. Even with all the oil drained there is a chance of catching the oil residue on fire. If anything solder it, jb weld then put some rtv on it. It will make a good seal. I've done this to our tarus. It leaks a tiny bit but not enough to cause worry.
