Default odometer swap help

I am going to swap out my tach less instrument cluster with one with a factory tach from a 92 F-150. How do I swap the odometers so it reads mine (96)?

Take the clear plastic off the from and swap the guts from the new one to your original one.

Search google I was looking at a write up for how to this yesterday.

make sure that cluster is actually gonna work, when i got my cluster the autowreckers said 1996 is one year only.

crap, now I'm not certain if the swap will work. I guess I'll have to see when I get it. Will keep you posted.
