Looking into getting a k&n filter and just wondering whats the difference between mass air and without mass air. Also which would be better? 1995 F150 XL 5.0L 302cu Thanks

If you have MAP, use a K&N drop in. MAF is more desirable.

MAF has two tubes coming off the TB, after about a foot they go into a Y and go to one large tube, then that goes to a MAF sensor and into the airbox. I believe the MAP engines have two tubes going to the airbox that look like radiator hose.

whats the hose or tube going into the side of the housing? crankcase vent tube???

Would I see a gain in power using a k&n air intake w/o mass air? Is there a downside installing this with map?
