Ninth generation tailgate panels
Okay, so the ninth generation f-series trucks had the option of a center tailgate panel. These panels are rare and are super expensive. One of my good friends has an '88 F-150 XLT Lariat, and it was manufactured in Butterfield, Utah. His window sticker says this, but there is also another thing on his truck that denotes this. On the back of his tailgate panel, on the far left side on the red reflector panel, there is a unique nomenclature that says "Butterfield". It looks like it is made from plastic, and painted chrome. It's only on there with a bit of glue. My question is "Did all the trucks that were ordered with the tailgate center panel option come with a unique nomenclature denoting where the truck was manufactured?" and if so, where can I buy one?
