Hi all well i new the day would come when I went to ford. lol After being a chevy truck guy my hole life. I needed another truck was tired of the chevy. So I found this 92 f150 short bed. that this 80 year old guy owned. Had to sell it cuz could not drive stick any more.super clean for a grand there was no way I could pass it up.. Pretty much all it needs is a gas tank.. Found that out last night. It has 112k minles on so from what I have read that is nothing for the I6 is it true that these motors can get up 300k+ miles on them? Cuz if thats true this could be the last truck i buy for a long while(well maybe not) lol

Thats what i think to.. Should have seen some of the trucks i looked at before i found this one... Found one that the guy wanted 1000 for had no rockers,bottom of the fenders were gone and half the bed was gone.

 

you stole that thing from him at a grand, haha

 

Damn wish I could get a truck like that for a grand..

Anyways My 88 I6 Has over 180,000 miles on it.. doesnt even burn a drop of oil yet.. I havent had any problems out of the motor.. Just had to replace little stuff like starter and alternators.. just the normal stuff.... I think it 94snap?? that has like 250,000 on his I6 im not sure.. but i know someone on this site has 250,000 miles and still running

 

the I6 is literally indestructable unless you dont maintain it right. Oil every 3k and any other proper maintinance. What are your plans for the truck?

Its very clean and a heluva deal. I wish i had the fleetside bed :/

for right now going to put a new gas tank in it,a trailer hitch,and some fire stone air bags in the back for towing. other than that drive the crap out of it lol.. later would like to lift it a little and get some bigger tires. maybe find a cap for it. cd player.
Yeah but could not belive it when i saw it yesterday.. It has been painted so that does make it look alot better but all the inner rockers and under the truck are really clean. For the chicago area.
